April 4, 2021: Nolte Forest

Updated: Mar 23, 2021

Old stone chimney with hearth among pine trees in Nolte Forest

Please join us on Sunday, April 4th at 2 PM to walk through Nolte Forest, a property we haven't featured on a walk for several years. We'll explore some of the 53 acres of wetlands and forests that made up a summer estate for a Boston family — you can even see remnants of the "Bungalo" [sic]. Please park at the trailhead between 7 and 17 Audubon Circle.

All ages are welcome, as are well behaved dogs on leash. Walkers need not be Weston Forest and Trail Association members, but we encourage you to consider joining as dues support the maintenance of Weston's trails and open spaces. WFTA has been hosting Sunday Walks for over 60 years, but because of the COVID-19 virus, we must organize things a little differently this year. Walks will be capped at 40 people and masks will be required, and we ask that you register in advance using this form. Please be sure to check our home page for any last minute changes.

Update 3/22/21: the walk is at capacity! If you would like to be added to a wait list for the walk, please email westonforesttrail@gmail.com and we will contact you before the walk if a space is available for you. In addition, if you signed up for the walk but are no longer planning to attend, please email us so we can open up spaces for others. Thanks for your interest!
