The Weston Forest & Trail Association will conduct its next monthly trail walk on Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 PM. For February, we will explore the College Pond conservation area which is one of our largest and loveliest areas. Walkers will cross the famed troll bridge, see two of our bluebird boxes and walk amidst some of the largest trees in Weston.
We will meet at 23 Laurel Road. Please park on the street. Dress appropriately for the day; WFTA walks are rarely canceled for inclement weather. Or as the Norwegians say “there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.”
You do not have to be a member of the Weston Forest and Trail Association to join the walk, but please consider becoming a member. Your membership dues support the maintenance and preservation of Weston’s open space. Please bring your friends and family; children are encouraged! Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be on leash. Tail-gate refreshments will follow the walk.
Trail maps of all Weston conservation land can be purchased at the Conservation Commission office in the Town Hall. You can also keep track of us on Facebook and Instagram.
For more information please contact the walk leader, Jenna Vettel, (EDIT: contact info removed after walk).
