Please join us on our monthly walk on Sunday, May 4th in the Case Estates. We will tour the grounds of Marian Case’s experimental farm, recently purchased by the Town of Weston. Park at the Weston Community Center parking lot.
The Case Estates in Weston span 118 acres of rich horticultural and historical significance, largely shaped by Marian Case’s Hillcrest Gardens. This preserved landscape—featuring farmhouses, estate buildings, orchards, woodlands, and specimen plantings—reflects Weston's agricultural heritage and rural character. The area showcases architecture from key historical periods and is closely tied to the influential Case family. Today, thanks to a unanimous Town Meeting vote in 2006, the property remains open and accessible to the public with trails through several indigenous and cultivated ecosystems.
We will begin at the Community Center Parking area and follow the Legacy Trail past one of the most impressive stone walls in town (a birthday gift from Marian Case to her sister) through and the Rhododendron Garden to the Case Estates buildings before visiting the woods and circling back. See this Case Estates brochure and trail map (PDF) for reference.
After the walk please join us in the Scout House for our annual meeting at 4pm. All are welcome. Come as you are.
