Late Summer Update

Greetings WFTA Members and Community!

We have an exciting late summer and fall ahead of us! Read on for some important requests, some announcements and invitations and expressions of gratitude.

First and most importantly, please take the Community Survey for the Open Space and Recreation Master Plan Update — this town-wide survey is our best source of trail usage data and was last done 10 years ago. This updated information will help us make appropriate decisions about connecting our trail network.

Trail management update: WFTA recently partnered with Weston Conservation Department to purchase software that will help us better manage our trails and plan new connections. We’re currently implementing it, and our first project will be mapping all our trail easements to find the best spots for new trails.

Thank you also to our summer crew for maintaining our trails during this hot summer these past few months!

Save the date for our Trailblazer Party on September 12th — it’s going to be another fantastic community celebration!
