We have received a number of calls from people who have seen ATV (all-terrain vehicle) tracks in the woods. Weston doesn’t allow motorized vehicles in the woods. However, there are two exceptions: People doing trail maintenance and first-responders. The Weston Fire Department has a new ATV that can be used for emergencies in the woods. Periodically they will survey the woods to better understand how best to find and carry out injured walkers, bikers, skiers and equestrians, should the need arise. They will also be doing maintenance on some of these roads to provide better access to the interior of our Conservation Land.
