Date: Sunday February 5, 2012 - 2 pm
Walk Leader: Bill Stevenson 781-893-5080
Walk Location: Cat Rock

The monthly Weston Forest and Trail Association walk will be on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2 PM. We will meet at the parking lot at the end of Drabbington Way, which is off of North Avenue. From there we will walk up the hill to the former Cat Rock ski area and then along Hobbs Brook to Hobbs Pond, before returning to the parking lot for refreshments. Walk 1 in the book Walks on Weston Conservation Land by Elmer Jones provides more information. This book can be purchased through our website or at the Town Hall. The walk will last about two hours. Walkers are also encouraged to obtain the Weston Trail Map (only $10) at the Conservation Commission office at the Town Hall. You do not need to be a member to join us, but please consider joining Weston Forest and Trail and supporting the preservation of Weston's open spaces. We look forward to seeing you there. weston forest and trail association
The Weston Forest and Trail Association is a volunteer organization responsible for working with land owners to encourage land conservation or land development consistent with Weston's rural character, and for stewardship of existing conservation land. WFT has helped to build and supports the maintenance of approximately one hundred miles of trails. The Association also sponsors trail walks and activities to encourage Weston residents to use and become more familiar with the more than 2000 acres of conservation land in town.

support land conservation
Weston Forest and Trail is supported by membership dues and by gifts to our operating and our endowment fund. Many land owners have also supported our cause by giving land or conservation restrictions to the association.

We encourage all residents who appreciate the rural character of Weston to become members and to consider gifts to our operating and endowment funds.

We also encourage landowners who would like to lean more about the benefits of land conservation to contact us.
