for young explorers
Weston’s forests and trails are an opportunity for adventure and education for the younger residents in town. We encourage children and teens to join the Association’s monthly trail walks to learn more about the towns trails and woodlands. The advent of GPS mapping has provided a new tool for both managing and experiencing the land stewarded by Weston Forest and Trail.
The town’s Girl Scout troop recently completed a project to help update the trail map using the GPS system. The links in this section provide a lively dialogue on what they found on the mapping adventure that we think will be of interest to residents young and old. We welcome other initiatives to encourage awareness and appreciation of this land by the younger residents in town. |
